CONTEMPORARY LANDSCAPE PAINTER
A contemporary landscape painter currently living and working full-time as an artist in Suffolk.
Working exclusively in oils, the paintings attempt to capture the atmosphere and mood of the chosen locations. Interested in the way that the light and elements interact, changing the landscape around us that we so often take for granted.
Currently the focus of the work is predominently around the coast and estuaries of East Anglia with its vast and ever changing skies, seascapes and marshland. Working in a loose style using both palette knife and brush to create powerful and dramatic images.
PHOTOGRAPHER
A trained photographer with a background in advertising and editorial photography.
The focus of my work is currently fine art photography, editorial and informal portraiture.
I strive to find interesting detail in subjects that can at first appear quite mundane and aim to create strong, captivating graphic images.
My informal style of portraiture hopes to bring through the character of the person in an almost candid style. Use of black and white photography helps to strengthen this work.
